[NEWS]G-Dragon returns to Korea after Europe vacation, “It’s like honey-taste recharging process”

GDragon was on SBS Inkigayo to support the debut stage of YG female group 2NE1 when he met up with some reporters and said, “I went travelling to several European countries last April-end, and I am back in Korea recently.”

“I went to London, Paris, then to Japan, before coming back to Korea. I spent time for myself after so long, it is like a honeyed recharging process for me.”

He added with a smile, “We will be active in Japan for the time being, and I will also be attending ‘MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2009′ with the rest of the Big Bang members on 30th. As for activities in Korea, I will be back with a solo album this coming August.”

GDragon was with the YG Family members like DaeSung, Teddy and Perry, together with Yang Hyun Seok, to support 2NE1’s debut stage that day.

[NEWS]GD’s autographed cap sold for 600K KRW

An autographed cap by GDragon has been sold at 600,000 KRW at a charity sale charity love auction campaign organised by EDaily.

EDaily did the charity sales from 11th to 17th May, sold items by Korean stars like Big Bang, KARA, Yoon Eun Hye etc amongst the items sold at the auction. And of them, an autographed GDragon cap was sold at the record of 610,000 KRW on the 6th day of the charity sale.

The item was also bidded for a reord of 72 times. The officials have taken in account that most of the bidders for the auction will be students, they have set a limit to the bid price of no more than 10,000 KRW.

Other than that, KARA member Han Seung Yeon’s autographd book was also sold at 300,000 KRW at the charity sales.

All the proceeds from this sales will be contributed to help needy children. Meanwhile, the charity auction (click to enter) is still going on until 18th May at 10am.

[NEWS]G-Dragon ends Europe vacation, and will start on activities in Japan

Big Bang GDragon, who has been on an Europe trip recently, has ended the trip on 10th May.

After he ended the vacation, he headed straight for Japan to start on promotional activities like going on broadcast programmes etc.

YG Entertainment said on the 12th, “GDragon will go straight from Europe to Japan. He is currently in Japan and preparing to start promotional activities. When he will return to Korea, we have not decided yet.”

GDragon was on the Europe trip both as a getaway and also to study fashion for his upcoming album postponed to August.

[NEWS]KBS ‘Entertainment Weekly’ official apology to GDragon

KBS show ‘Entertainment Weekly’, which has recently angered Big Bang fans with mistaking the composer to Big Bang song ‘Lies’ as the Brave Brothers instead of GDragon, has made an official apology.

They wrote an article on their viewers noticeboard on 11th May with the title ”To inform”. In the post it was written, “There is an error in the caption on our show on 9th May where we put up a caption saying ‘Lies (Big Bang) – Braves Brothers composition’.”

The production group said, “The song ‘Lies’ is composed by Big Bang member GDragon which it is arranged by the Brave Brothers. Our production group will be more prudent and pay more attention to such details in the future.”

Big Bang fans are angry with the program ‘Entertainment Weekly’.

On KBS, the episode of ‘Entertainment Weekly’ aired on 8th introduced the composer to Big Bang’s song ‘Lies’ as the Brave Brothers instead of GDragon himself.

According to the Korea Music Copyright Association, the composer to song ‘Lies’ is recorded as GDragon. GDragon did the lyrics and composition to the song, while ‘Entertainment Weekly’ had introduced the composer as the Braves Brothers, who did the song arrangement instead.

This comes with great anger since YG president Yang Hyun Seok has gone all the way out to explain rumours about GDragon’s song compositions lately.

And viewers have also commented on the show’s notice board, “The composer to the song ‘Lies’ is GDragon and not the Brave Brothers“, “Please do your research well before reporting”.

Big Bang leader GDragon who has recently gone on an Europe vacation to study on fashion.

YG Entertainment said on the 7th, “GDragon went on a trip to Europe starting from England. And he is currently resting well. And he has let us know that he is doing well there.”

“Even though it has not been decided when exactly he will be back in Korea. But if it is fast enough, he will beback by this weekend.”

YG recently revealed that due to the work at head, GDragon went into a slight slump condition. And hence plans for his solo album in April was postponed.

However the company revealed, “Before doing on the Europe trip, his slight depression condition is already cleared. The vacation is just one for him to rest his mind and body, and let him do some recuperation.”

There has also been photos uploaded online showing that he is enjoying on his vacation. YG representative said, “Fans need not worry too much as GDragon’s condition is maintaining a good condition. Please continue to give him the support he needs.”

With the release 2NE1’s ‘Fire’ MV, many fans pointed out the cameo appearance of Big Bang member GDragon.

There were 2 versions to the MV revealed on 6th May – space and street version, which got 1.5 and 1 million views on GomTV as of 9th May. While on other portal sites, the MVs were said to have attracted more than 2.5 milion views.

With that many netizens and fans caught the 2 seconds cameo apperance of Big Bang GDragon for the street version of the MV, doing his comical act behind member Gong MinJi.

But YG Entertainment said, “We did not know of GDragon’s cameo comic act behind member Gong MinJi for the street version of the MV as pointed out by Big Bang fans. It was because he was behind Gong MinJi and his appearance was so short.”

“But with the release of the MV online, Big Bang fans were fast to spot him in the MV. And it quickly became a topic amongst netizens and fans on the internet.”

The YG representative said, “GDragon went to the filming spot for the MV filming to give support to the 2NE1 members whom he is close to. And with no earlier plans for it, he went directly for a cameo appearance to show support to 2NE1.”.

Big Bang GDragon, who have been said to have slight depression and is currentlyon his Europe vacation, has a special appearance on 2NE1’s new MV.
2NE1 released the MV to their debut single ‘Fire’ on the 6th. In the MV, GDragon had a cameo appearance. He was seen swinging his head and moving comically to the lyrics ‘ChalRang ChalRang’ in the song.
It was previously mentioned in YG’s message on how GDragon has been having a hard time coping with work and had been down with slight depression a while back. Fans’ responses to his cameo appearance have been welcoming too.
His solo album will be released in August.

About 2 months ago, I heard GD is having a hard time and I had some deep conversation with him. He had a kind of slump or felt depressed more than I predicted to be.
I think he was tired both physically and psychologically as he never had any proper rest since his debut and also the fact that the album is his first solo album gave him a lot of pressure.

Even BIGBANG stopped their official activities, preparation of BIGBANG’s Japan album planned to be introduced in June and lots of TV commercial shootings were piled up. Therefore, it’s true that he hadn’t have enough time to prepare his solo album.
I felt so sorry to see him having a hard time because I always expected much from him without giving enough time and environment.
